03.09.2009 Iceland‧§ Day 10 § Djupivogur & Hofn

After we had put down our stuff into a safe place, it was almost 11:00am, and the post office would not be open until noon. Hence, we walk around the town and looked into the shops, and had our "tea" in the cafe in the Folk museum. The coffee, hot chocolate, the cake and the pancake were very tasty. When it was noon, I immediately popped to the post office, and thanks god, I finally got my parcel! However, I had to pay almost 6000ISK for something like import tax (which I was going to claim it back later on, since I should not have to pay for that...). We continued to look around the town until 13:50pm, we went back to the hotel to have our lunch. The lamb soup and the seafood soup were very nice, except the fact that they were too salty... There was not much bread given, and I wasn't sure if I could ask for more, so it was really too much of salt (Later I knew that I could actually ask for more... I should have asked in the first place...) 拍攝器材:Pentax espio mini + 過期 8 年的 Polaroid 100 拍攝器材:Contax T2 + 過期 2 年的 Fuji Reala 100 We arrived at Hofn in the evening. The night view was fantasic and therefore I took my tripod, T2 and SLR to take a photo of the sea. However, as it was rather windy at the shore, the outcomes were blurred. Later when I went back to the hostel, I asked the staff if there was a parcel for me, and she told me that there wasn't anything for me. But she was very kind that she was going to ask the post office tomorrow if they had anything for me (if I remember correctly, her mother was working in the post office...?) At night when we were preparing the dinner in the kitchen, we met the Swiss guy whom we had met in the bus when we were leaving Stkkisholmur! What a nice surprise! We gave him to try some of our food (rice in soup) and he shared some of his drinks to us. He told us that after he had left his bike in Reykajvik, he was traveling anti-clockwise around Iceland. We recommended Myvatn to and gave him some suggestions about where to visit. He had been rather lucky with the weather since he left Reykajvik - not much rain. We had quite a long chat before we went to bed as he would leave Hofn to Myvatn on the next day. 拍攝器材:Canon 300V + Tarmon A09 + 過期 2 年的 Fuji NPH 400
