08.09.2009 Iceland‧§ Day 15 § Þórsmörk

However, the tourist informaton was closed - there was no staff. It was 10:00am and it should be opened already. I waited for 5 minutes but no one had come yet. Previously I had emailed this tourist information about the arrangement for booking a taxi, the staff was very helpful and told me that if it was closed, I could ask the police station for help about this taxi booking matter. And so I did. The police station was just next to the tourist information center. But then the policeman whom I spoke to told me that they did not do this sort of things. I was very surprised. The policeman then gave me the telephone number of the tourist information and asked me to ring them. I had tried a few times but no one answered the phone. I had no choice but went back to the gas station as the bus would leave at 10:15am. When I got to the gas station, the bus was there. Since there were many passagers going to take the bus, it took quite a while for the bus driver to sort all the things out. So I popped into the gas station to ask the staff if she had any taxi driver's number. After searching for a moment, she torn a small piece of paper on which had a taxi driver's advertisment from a magazine and gave it to me. 拍攝器材:Pentax espio mini + 過期 3 年的 Konica 100 The bus journey to Þórsmörk was very exciting and pleasant, we had experienced the bus driving across rivers 3 times in total! We had also seen and waved at the two French backpackers whom we had met in Skogar on our way. After we had put all our belongings into the dorm room of Þórsmörk hostel, we took the free bus tour which took us to certain areas in Þórsmörk. We had made a good friend in the tour, he was an old English man and we had actually met him on the bus from Hofn to Vik, from Skogar to Hvolsvollur and from Seljalandfoss to Þórsmörk. He was camping in Seljalandfoss on the day before. When we went back to the Þórsmörk hostel, we picked and cooked mushroom together, it was really fun and we had learnt a lot from him. He was a very experienced hiker and backpacker. The colour of this batch of photos was rather odd - too reddish. They were taken using Agfa Optima Prestige 100 which had expired at 2007. The seller told me that there were well kept in the fridge - I am afraid it is not quite the case... I am very depressed and disappointed by the colour outcome, it should be used on lomo photography... I should have tried one roll out before I went to Iceland... After the tour, I had asked the hostel owner if she could help me to speak in Icelandic to the taxi driver, whom I would like to book on the day we left Þórsmörk at 17:00pm. She was very kind and had sorted out the booking for us. There was no shower in the dorm, only two shower rooms for female for the whole area. We needed to put coins in to get the hot water, it was more like a campsite. It cost 300ISK for every four minutes. And surprisingly, I only needed less than four minutes to finish a shower! So as my sister. Gosh, I broke my shower time record! 拍攝器材:Contax T2 + 過期 2 年的 Agfa Optima Prestige 100
