16.10.2009 Sweden‧§ Day 53 § Stockholm
13, Oct 2010 20:43
However, when we arrived at Oslo train train, to my(our) horror,I suddenly found that the train tickets which I had booked from Oslo to Stockholm was no longer valid! It was because the tickets were for 15th Oct! OH MY GOD! Yesterday! And the worst of all was that I could not buy these new tickets in Oslo train station! Why? Because it was a Swedish train and there was no branch office of that Swedish train company in Oslo...
I asked a staff in Oslo train station what I could do, and she told me I would have to talk to the conductor of that Swedish train - it was very likely that I could buy another two train tickets from him/her. I was still very worried, as all the tickets might have been sold out... When the Swedish train finally came to Oslo, I immediately ran to ask the conductor if I could buy two new tickets. After knowing our situation, the conductor looked at our "old" tickets and said, 'These are discounted tickets, it will cost you a lot to buy the new ticktes.' He then sigh, 'Young people...', and let us get onto the train! That was something I had never expected! What a kind person! We were very lucky indeed. We thanked him from our most grateful heart no less than five times.
It was rather late at night when we arrived at Stockholm central station. However, there were still quite a lot of people in the train station. It took us a long time to locate the bus stop from which we could take the bus to the hostel we booked - we were lost and went to the wrong bus stop...
When we finally got to the hostel, we were completely exhausted. The staff were rather friendly. The view from the room that we stayed was great. The surrounding was very peaceful and relaxing. I started to fell in love with this place.
